Do We Review Our Past Life Between Lives?

Soul Saga Blog Series – Life Between Lives (Part 3)

If there is a space between lifetimes, and if awareness expands there…what happens to the life we have just lived?

Do we look back?

Not in the way we remember things here — not through scattered memories or selective moments — but in a deeper, more complete way.

Many traditions suggest that there is, in some form, a kind of reflection. Often described as a life review. But this idea is easily misunderstood, because the mind tends to interpret it through the lens of judgment.

As if something is being evaluated.

As if there is a measure of success or failure.

But what if it is not like that at all?

What if it is simply seeing clearly?

In this perspective, reviewing a life is not about being judged. It is not about being told what was right or wrong. Instead, it is about becoming aware of what was lived — fully, honestly, and without distortion.

Moments that once felt confusing may begin to settle into understanding. Experiences that felt heavy may be seen from a wider view. Not because they change, but because the way they are perceived changes.

There is often a suggestion that awareness may extend beyond one’s own experience.

Not only seeing what you felt — but understanding how your presence, your words, your actions were experienced by others.

Not in a way that creates guilt.

But in a way that creates connection.

A deeper sense of how everything is intertwined.

From that place, something natural begins to happen.

Clarity.

Not forced, not analyzed, but emerging quietly.

Patterns that were once invisible may become obvious. Choices that once felt necessary may be seen differently. Intentions may be understood more deeply than they were in the moment they were made.

And within that clarity, there is often something else:

Compassion.

Not only for others, but for yourself.

Because when life is seen from a wider perspective, it is no longer divided so easily into right and wrong, success and failure. It becomes something more fluid — a process of learning, experiencing, and becoming aware.

Even within this life, there are moments where something similar happens.

We look back and suddenly understand something we couldn’t see before. We recognize how we’ve changed. We see the impact of a moment in a way that wasn’t possible while we were inside it.

The idea of a life review simply extends this process — into a space where awareness is no longer limited by fear, identity, or time.

If such a review exists, it may not be something to fear.

It may be something that allows the soul to fully integrate its experience.

To gather meaning without judgment.

To see without distortion.

To understand without needing to correct.

And from that understanding, something becomes possible.

A natural readiness.

Not to start again,

but to continue.

You don’t need to know exactly how this works.

You can simply consider what it might feel like to see your life — not through the lens of criticism or expectation — but through quiet, honest awareness.

Because whether between lifetimes or within this one,

it is awareness that allows everything to shift.
